Is All Christian Music Good

When someone truly gets saved, God puts a NEW song in their mouth. And that song is "PRAISE unto our God" — the result of salvation is — PRAISE. And it's not something we work up, or "fake", or just do — but it's something God "puts"! Christian music is "praise unto our God".

We must understand the only PURPOSE of Christian music is to PRAISE the Lord, always.

Are the Bands We listen to Really Christian?

This page is for the exposition of Christian music and the artists that make up the industry.

It is by no means complete. This is an on-going collection of information that we personally research before uploading it here for you. Please understand also, that we are not judging these people, necessarily, but rather reproving the works of darkness.

We need to remember all these artists and pray for them that they will come back to their first love, Jesus Christ. Pray that the Lord's will be done in their life so they may come to fullness of Christ in their lives. If you are not born again into the fullness of Christ, click here.

The New Age movement has infiltrated the Christian Music scene also. There are various bands and many of them. As we come across bands we have been able to personally research, we will list them here. We are not calling bands out, or judging them. In fact, we all need to pray for the people that they will see the light of the Father and take back their music from the worldly marketers and companies that have control of their music. Some of the bands are straight out new age music with a Christian label just so they can make more money. Read some of the information for yourself and make your own judgment call.

I like to listen to Christian Rock Music more so than most, but when their music is not lining up with the Holy Word of God, I have to ask myself why I am listening to them; for Entertainment, or for the feeding of my Spirit with the things of God.

I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing PRAISE to thy name, O thou most High. Psalm 9:2

Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we SING and PRAISE thy power. Psalm 21:13

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my SONG will I PRAISE him.
Psalm 28:7

PRAISE the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.
Psalm 33:2-3

Did you read that? The DIRECT result of being saved is "A NEW SONG" even "PRAISE unto our God". REAL Christian music PRAISES the Lord!

Even when the apostle Paul and Silas were thrown in jail and in stocks they sang praises to the Lord (notice: they weren't singing the blues – they "sang praises unto God").

And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and SANG PRAISES unto God: and the prisoners heard them. Acts 16:22

Keep all this in mind when reading the information about the bands below. And, remember, we are not judging these people, but we are judging the actions they are taking part in by marketing their music the way the world does.

	Demon Hunter This band was one of my favorite's until recently. We took my oldest daughter to the Christian store for some new music cd's. After looking and looking and looking at many different bands, we come across some of Demon Hunter's music. The first CD was a live cd that looked like it was going to sound great. Then we came across this one on the shelf.
	Flyleaf This band has toured with a band that is very evil in nature 3 years straight, and even display their own occultic belief systems on the covers of their albums.
	P.O.D., AKA Payable on Death. Just by looking at the album art to the left, you can assume there is questionable content on their albums and that their belief system does not follow what the Holy Scriptures say.
	Michael W. Smith. He has been around awhile in the Christian music scene. We have seen him take flack from wanting to do cross-over music for the radio stations, and then him come back from that. But could it have been something he was wanting to do? Leave the Christian music industry to cross-over to the secular? As you can, Michael is seen here performing the occult practice of runing.
	Third Day is a band that I happen to think are blessed musicians. However, I still believe the ways of the world can blind people and cause them to be deceived. After all, that is what Satan does, deceives the Body of Christ. There is more information on this page about other CD art also and symbols used.
